Seeds of Destiny 8 January 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Blessing Of Vision

Topic: The Blessing Of Vision [Monday January 8, 2018]

Scripture: And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2

Thought For The Day: God looks into your heart to see what your hand is qualified for.

Yesterday, we established that there is a relationship between vision and the Blessing of God. Men of old like Abraham, Isaac Jacob, Joseph, Moses and David who saw massive provisions of God in their lives were men of vision.

Today, we shall be looking at how vision produces the Blessing of God?

Now, I would like to give you two key facts:

1. The visions of the heart of man determine the release of provisions from the Hand of God

Anything that is in your heart is what God will put in your hand. If it is not in your heart, it cannot be in your hand. So, God looks into your heart to see what your hand is qualified for.

2. Vision is a magnet of provision.

A wise man once said that you cannot travel on your inside and stand still on the outside. Every inside move attracts a corresponding external move. When the snail for instance moves, its shell also follows. So, your outward life will always conform to your inward convictions. External conditions are always lined up to conform to internal visions and convictions. In the same way, vision magnetises provision.

Beloved, my counsel is: never possess an empty heart; do not allow your situation to limit your vision.

Remember This: God looks into your heart to see what your hand is qualified for.

Assignments:

1. Deal with every spell of empty heartedness.

2. Make demands on God for the divine provisions in your life.

Prayer: O LORD, I ask that You fill my heart with Your vision for Your Kingdom. Give me access to Your provisions, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Live A Life Of Sacrifice — Monday January 8, 2018.

“And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.” (Genesis 22:2 (KJV)

The scriptures tell us that Abraham was asked of God to sacrifice his son Isaac, and immediately he made arrangements to offer his son. That was a huge demand placed on Abraham and yet he obeyed. The question is why did Abraham go to that length? Abraham saw beyond the gift. He saw the giver of the gift, and he knew the giver could give him much more. Oftentimes we are concerned about our gifts and fail to realise that no man can out give God. God, in response to Abraham’s sacrifice, God said, now I know that you truly love Me and therefore, in blessing I will bless you and in multiplication, I will multiply you; I will so much bless you that your seed will possess the gates of your enemies.

Beloved, if you want to activate that level of blessing in your life, you must be ready to live a life of sacrifice. Yes, it may not be convenient, but when you think of the goodness of God upon your life, your act of sacrifice becomes a natural response. When you think of how much grace He has lavished on you, your response to Him can only be to give back out of the abundance He has given you. I challenge you today to cultivate a heart of sacrifice. Learn to give when the opportunity arises. Don’t grumble or murmur or rule out yourself because things appear tough for you. Sow your seeds cheerfully and you will experience the abundance that comes from the throne of grace. For God loves a cheerful giver.

As you continually live a life of sacrifice, I declare that God will meet you at the very point of your needs and fill your mouth with good things. No more empty meal barrel! No more scratching the surface in your life! Abundance is your portion.

Topic: Use It Well — Monday January 8, 2018.

Text: Proverbs 11:22-31

Key Verse:“As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.”(Proverbs 11:22).

The way we make use of a thing is determined by the value we place on it. Precious things are usually put into very special and careful use. What we use it for must match its worth. It is a show of lack of wisdom and discretion when a substance of high and esteemed value is thrown into the mud!

The passage for meditation calls us to a wise and discretional use of our precious possessions. As it is foolish to put a jewel of gold in the snout of a pig, so is it a lack of discretion when we fail to realize the value of our gifts and possessions and so use them in the wrong way and for the wrong purpose.

A beautiful woman who flirts around shows lack of proper understanding of the worth of her life and beauty. The same is true of an individual who holds on tenaciously and selfishly to his wealth or possessions thinking that, by so doing, he would preserve or increase them. Hoarding our gifts, riches, knowledge and other possessions reveal that we lack understanding and wisdom.  Life is a precious and beautiful gift. So are all the other gifts and possessions that come with it. If we truly understand the worth of our lives and other possessions and place the right value on them – be they beauty, gifts, talents, riches, knowledge or any other possession – we will make efforts to use them for God’s glory and the good of our fellow men. It is as we use them this way that they will abound the more. Besides, God will reward us on earth and in heaven if we use our gifts and possessions for His glory.

Thought For The Day:  An enriching life always gives!

Joyce Meyer's Daily 8 January 2018 Devotional: Understanding Human Nature

Topic: Understanding Human Nature [Monday January 8, 2018]

But Jesus, for His part, did not entrust Himself to them, because He knew all people [and understood the superficiality and fickleness of human nature], and He did not need anyone to testify concerning man [and human nature], for He Himself knew what was in man [in their hearts--in the very core of their being]. — John 2:24-25

One time after I had been involved in a disappointing church situation, God brought John 2:24-25 to my attention. It speaks of Jesus’ relationship with His disciples.

It plainly says that Jesus did not trust Himself to them. While He gave Himself to them relationally and lived life with them, He knew that they were not perfect. He understood human nature and He did not trust Himself to them in an unbalanced way.

This made me realize that I had placed my trust in people at church that should only belong to God and had set myself up for disappointment.

We can go only so far in any human relationship. If we go beyond godly wisdom, we will likely be hurt. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that some people will never hurt us, only to be disappointed when they don’t live up to those standards. No one’s perfect.

The good news is that God is perfect and will not disappoint. He is always loving and good. Don’t give trust to people when it belongs to God, but rather, give yourself completely to Him. He alone is perfectly trustworthy.

Prayer Starter: God, no human is perfect, but You are. I want to put my trust in You at all times, and believe You will not disappoint. I find comfort today in Your perfection.

Open Heavens 9 January 2018: Tuesday daily devotional by Pastor Adeboye – Do You Desire To Be Healed?

Topic: Do You Desire To Be Healed? [Open Heavens 9th January 2018]

Memorise: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.1 Peter 2:24

Read: James 5:14:16 (KJV)

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Bible in One Year: Genesis 21-23, Revelation 8:1-12, Hymn: Sing Hymn 8: The Great Physician Now Is Here

MESSAGE:

It is unfortunate that many children of God are ignorant of the truth that healing is part of the package of redemption. Neglecting what is their inheritance in Christ, such people seek after inferior channels for relief. My prayer is that God will open your eyes to comprehend in your spirit the reality of healing through the stripes of Jesus. I thank God that the realisation of this truth was one of the earliest testimonies I experienced in my Christian walk. Before I met Jesus Christ and received Him as my personal Lord and Saviour, there was no month when I would not be attacked by fever. Any month I managed to escape breaking down as a result of fever, I would celebrate. However, when I met the Lord and He opened my eyes to His provision for healing, I grabbed it with both hands, and for many decades since, He has been my Healer.

What should you do if you desire to be healed? The Holy Spirit gives the answer in James 5:14:

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:”

Prayer is the key here. Due to unbelief and unwillingness to pray, most people prefer other channels of healing, though very costly, to the healing that is freely provided through the stripes of Jesus. Beloved, if you desire to be healed of those sicknesses that have defied traditional and orthodox medicine, you must be ready to pray. Moreover, the truth is that more often than not, sickness is brought about by the sin of disobedience. For this reason, James 5:15 says,

“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”

Disobedience to simple laws of hygiene can bring about sickness. Furthermore, failure to sleep properly, or working round the clock because you want more money, is disobeying the law of Sabbath (the law that governs taking a day of rest). In addition, according to James 5:16, if you desire healing, you must confess your faults to and pray for one another. There are lots of sicknesses and the diseases in the Body of Christ that have defied all manner of prayers and medication. This could be the result of holding grudges against anyone. We refuse to forgive each other because we don’t want to admit our faults against one another. Beloved, if you want to be healed, take note of what the Lord is telling you today, and the healing virtue of His stripes shall flow through your body to make you whole.

Prayer Point: Father, please let the stripes of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, heal all my infirmities without exception today.

Hymn 8: The Great Physician

1. The Great Physician now is near,
The sympathizing Jesus;
He speaks the drooping heart to cheer,
Oh, hear the voice of Jesus!

Chorus:
Sweetest note in seraph song,
Sweetest Name on mortal tongue;
Sweetest carol ever sung,
Jesus, blessed Jesus.

2. Your many sins are all forgiv’n,
Oh, hear the voice of Jesus;
Go on your way in peace to heav’n,
And wear a crown with Jesus.

3. All glory to the dying Lamb!
I now believe in Jesus;
I love the blessed Saviour’s Name,
I love the Name of Jesus.

4. His Name dispels my guilt and fear,
No other name but Jesus;
Oh, how my soul delights to hear
The precious Name of Jesus!

So the women sang as they danced, and said: “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. “After every victorious battle, there is always a dancing, a singing and a celebration.

All through this year 2018, men and women shall sing the praise of your God and dance with you. That victory that would make men and women to shout, “WOW!” He has made it at last, she has made it at last, she has prevailed at last, he has prevailed at last,” and begin to dance with you like they dance with David, shall locate you in Jesus name! Our Daily Bread 9 January 2018 Devotional – Stones of Remembrance

Topic: Stones of Remembrance [Our Daily Bread 9th Tuesday January, 2018]

Read: Joshua 3:14–4:7, Bible in a Year: Genesis 23–24; Matthew 7

Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.Psalm 105:5

Some mornings when I go online, Facebook shows me “memories”—things I’ve posted on that day in previous years. These memories, such as photos from my brother’s wedding or a video of my daughter playing with my grandmother, usually make me smile. But sometimes they have a more profound emotional effect. When I see a note about a visit to my brother-in-law during his chemotherapy or a picture of the staples across my mother’s scalp after her brain surgery three years ago, I am reminded of God’s faithful presence during difficult circumstances. These Facebook memories nudge me towards prayer and gratitude.

All of us are prone to forget the things God has done for us. We need reminders. When Joshua led God’s people towards their new home, they had to cross the Jordan River (Joshua 3:15–16). God parted the waters, and His people walked through on dry land (v. 17). To create a memorial of this miracle, they took twelve stones from the middle of the riverbed and stacked them on the other side (4:3, 6–7). When others asked what the stones meant, God’s people would tell the story of what God had done that day.

Physical reminders of God’s faithfulness in the past can remind us to trust Him in the present—and with the future.

God, thank You for Your faithfulness to me over many years! Help me to trust You with the present and the future as well.

How can you create physical, daily reminders of God’s faithfulness to you? Share it with us in the comment section at odb.org.

Seeds of Destiny 9 January 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Discipline of Vision

Topic: The Discipline of Vision [Seeds of Destiny Tuesday January 9th, 2018]

Scripture: Where there is no vision, the people are uncontrolled; but he who keeps the law will be happy.Proverbs 29:18 (BBE)

Thought For The Day: Vision imparts the discipline of righteous living in the life of a person.

Discipline can be defined as a training that enforces proper behaviour and orderliness in one’s life.

Discipline is one of the benefits of having a vision. In other words, vision is the secret of discipline. Vision imparts the discipline of righteous living in the life of a person. A man with a clear vision is guided by his vision to live right while a person without vision lives anyhow by breaking the laws and order of the society.

For example, when a student gains admission into University and has a vision to graduate with a First Class Grade, that vision will guide him to live a disciplined life on campus; he would not have time for too many extra-curricular activities or excessive socializing. He would not have time for night clubs, smoking, drinking alcohol and other kinds of wayward lifestyles. While other students live carelessly and immorally, he is focused on what he came to the university for and that focus makes him to live rightly.

On the other hand, a lady may have a vision to be married as a virgin. Such vision disciplines her to live righteously. As a result of this, she knows where to go and where not to go; she knows the extent to which to relate with the opposite sex. Another lady who has no such vision may end up in a brothel as prostitute.

Beloved, nothing disciplines one like vision. If you know what you want out of life, not everyone can be your friend. It is only those people going in your direction that should command your attention.

Remember This: Vision imparts the discipline of righteous living in the life of a person.

Assignments:

1. Make up your mind to live right by conceiving a vision for living.

2. Abstain from any association or company that will corrupt your moral integrity.

Prayer: O Lord, I receive the discipline of vision on my life and destiny, in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: No Time for Clay Pots [Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Tuesday January 9th, 2018]

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. -2 Timothy 2:20

Are you destined for greatness in the kingdom of God?

Ask most believers that question and they'll humbly assure you they're not. "You know we can't all be golden vessels" they'll say. "Like the Bible says, some of us are just called to be little clay pots."

Praise God, the Bible doesn't say any such thing!

Certainly there are going to be some golden vessels in the kingdom and there are going to be some clay pots, but we are the ones—not God—who determine which kind we will be. Second Timothy 2:21 tells us that "whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work" (The Amplified Bible).

Golden vessel or clay pot—the choice is up to you!

Why then do so many believers choose to do menial work in the kingdom of God? Why are they content to remain clay pots?

Because they lack one thing every golden vessel must have. They lack dedication. They haven't made a quality decision to separate themselves from contaminating influences. They haven't been willing to turn away from the ways of the world and go on with God past the point of no return.

My friend, God is doing some exciting things on this earth right now. He's working signs and wonders, paving the way for Jesus' return. This is a thrilling time, but it's definitely no time for clay pots! So if you haven't yet made the kind of commitment that will turn you into a golden vessel, admit it. Then take the time to get before God and study His Word and get your will in line with His. Let the Holy Spirit deal with you until you're willing to leave the ways of the world behind and walk in higher ways—the ways of God.

Do it now. The hour is late. The glory of God is spilling over the earth in one final thrilling wave. It's not trickling out of clay pots. It's being poured through golden vessels—and that's exactly what God is calling you to be.

Despise God's Word and find yourself in trouble. Obey it and succeed. — Proverbs 13:13 (TLB)

As Christians, we have the Spirit of God in us. But ours is the responsibility to keep sin out of our lives so that the Spirit can produce His fruit in us. Become grounded in the Bible. As Christians, we have only one authority, one compass: the Word of God. Abraham Lincoln in a letter to a friend said, “I am profitably engaged in reading the Bible.

Take all of this Book upon reason that you can, and the balance upon faith. You will live and die a better man.” Begin the day with the Book; and as the day comes to a close, let the Word speak its wisdom to your soul. Let it be the firm foundation upon which your hope is built. Let it be the Staff of Life upon which your spirit is nourished. Let it be the Sword of the Spirit which cuts away the evil of your life and fashions you in His image and likeness.

Prayer for the day: Almighty God, Your Word nourishes my whole being and I praise Your holy name!

Topic: Choosing Joy [Andrew Wommack’s Daily Tuesday January 9, 2018]

Luke 1:46-47,"And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour."

Text: Luke 1:39-56

Here, Mary makes a very clear distinction between her soul magnifying the Lord and her spirit rejoicing.

Our soul is the part of us that is considered to be our personality. It is our intellect, emotions and will. Our spirit is the part that gets changed at salvation and it is always operating in "love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance" (2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 5:22-23). That's true whether our souls (feelings and emotions) "feel" it or not.

Many believers wait until their emotions feel like praising the Lord before they enter in to worship. They think it's hypocritical to act like they are rejoicing in the Lord if they don't "feel" it. But our spirits are always rejoicing in the Lord. It's actually hypocritical to go by our feelings and not magnify the Lord with our souls when our born again spirits are already rejoicing.

Our born again spirits are always in tune with the Lord and walking in the joy of the Lord. Our flesh is often dominated by what it sees and feels.

Sometimes it doesn't feel like praising the Lord, but the choice rests with our souls. If we choose to praise the Lord, our emotions will follow.

The decision is yours (Dt. 30:19).

Today, choose to walk in the joy of the Lord.

Topic: Fulfilling God’s Purpose For Your Life [TREM’s Daily Tuesday January 9, 2018]

“And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry Acts 21:19 (KJV)

Beloved, one major reason God allowed you to stay here on planet earth after you gave your heart to Christ was that He wanted you to become an example of how He lived here on earth. He wanted you to be His Ambassador for change. He wanted you to accomplish a purpose in life.

Looking at the above scripture, we realize that one thing that enabled Apostle Paul to accomplish his purpose was that he had a clear vision of what God wanted him to do. He was never in doubt. He knew exactly what he was called to do and to whom he was called to do it with. He knew his assignment was to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the gentiles. Paul pursued what he was called to do with a passion. He had a dream and he was intentional about it. Little wonder he achieved so much for the Kingdom.

In the same vein, do you know that God has also called you to a life of purpose? He did not save you just to be counted among the number. No, He saved you and called you to a life of glory. He saved you to make a formidable impact in your world for His kingdom. But you must be intentional about it. That is why you must dedicate some of your time to repositioning yourself so that you can take delivery of all that God has in stock for you. God’s intention for you is that you will make appreciable progress and enter a higher dimension of His plan and purpose for your life.

Beloved, the days of barely making it and scratching the surface are over. I declare over your life that you will fulfil purpose. You will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for your life. Nothing will cut you short. As you go about your assignment today, Favour will attend your ways. You will attract favour anywhere you go!

Topic: A Living Hope [DCLM Daily Manna Tuesday January 9th, 2018]

Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-10

Key Verse:“Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.” (1 Thessalonians 5:5,6).

Have you ever had moments of expectation of someone or something great? It may be the visit or arrival of someone very special to you – a spouse, family member, friend or expectation of an entirely new experience like job, a new possession or an exciting trip to be embarked on. Usually, as the appointed time approaches, so do your hope and excitation rise.

Christians have great expectation of the return of Jesus Christ to take them with Him to heaven as he has promised. This hope kept early believers going despite untold hardships, trials and persecutions. As some attempted to overthrow their faith by falsely alleging that the coming of the Lord had passed, Apostle Paul reassured them that this hope had not changed. He told them to remain watchful and avoid false doctrines so as not to be left behind since the Lord’s coming would be sudden. He also assured them the Lord had not appointed them unto wrath.

This admonition is equally applicable to present-day believers. This is more so as we have a lot of false teachings that try to rubbish the hope of the Lord’s return. In addition to this is the great increase in iniquities and falling away of many saints. At such a time as this, we need to be reminded of our lively hope. We must not allow our spiritual senses to be dulled by sinful pleasures or worldly pursuits.

The coming of our Lord is nearer than before, nearer than we think. So, let’s keep our hope alive in order to make our election sure. Living with “no hope, and without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12) is a miserable existence. So, repent of sin, pray for forgiveness and receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and live holy to have this living hope. Hope of reward, eternal bliss, union with Christ and reunion with departed loved ones makes us endure trials, bear grief of bereavement and rejoice in serving the Lord.

Thought For The Day: Undying hope in Christ is the sure anchor that keeps the soul.

Topic: Effective Family Altar (1)

Dear Reader,

Happy New Year! It is the start of a new era for you and your family, as God is set to make all things brand new for you. The Bible says concerning your family this year: And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name (Isaiah 62:2).This is God’s sure words to you and it must be fulfilled in Jesus’s name!

However, you must understand that to see God’s Word fulfilled in your life and family, you must be ready to war with scriptures. This means contending for those blessings laid in store for you. We understand from Scripture that …a great door and effectual is opened…, and there are many adversaries (1 Corinthians 16:9). These adversaries are strategically positioned to block your access from that which God has already packaged for you, so you must fight to see that you receive what belongs to you.

But, How Do You Fight?

You must contend with the adversaries blocking your blessings, successful home, career, finances and family peace in prayers. That is why in this first month of the year, I shall be teaching on building an Effective Family Altar.

What is a Family Altar?

It means a particular time or place set aside for your family to fellowship together. This fellowship might not just be in prayers alone but also in studying the Word. However, the emphasis of this teaching will be on the effect or power derived from a strong family prayer altar. Every Christian family must have this in place if they desire to do more valiantly spiritually. The Bible says: Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour (Ecclesiastes 4:9). Hence, your prayer labour will be more effectual if your family is actively involved.  Do you desire a family breakthrough? Are there issues confronting the peace and stability of your family? Are there habits you want to get loosed from? These can be won on the prayer altar.

The physical world can be controlled from your prayer altar. The progress, promotion, peace you desire in your home can be gotten from the prayer altar. A successful prayer life always amount to general life success because the spiritual will always control the happenings around you.

But, Why Must You Build a Family Altar?

You must understand that everything contrary to what God has originally intended for you is the enemy at work. So, behind those constant fights, misfortune, unrest, is the devil. The enemy is jealous of God’s blessings on your life and family and he is doing everything to stop the flow of these blessings into your family. So, you must also stand your grounds together with your family, to contend with him and possess that which rightfully belongs to you.

One thing you must understand when you pray is that power is generated on the altar of prayer (Psalm 66:3). With this power, you can withstand all the fiery darts of the devil (Ephesians 6:13). Therefore, prayer is a major force in sending all oppositions off your territory and consequently triumphing in life.

Some people think being a Christian automatically exempts them from the woes of this world. No! It only gives you an edge over the opposition. Warfare is inevitable, but victory is always guaranteed in Christ. The Bible says: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4).

What Then, Can Effective Prayer Do?

It Provokes Divine Help: Without help from above, we are helpless on earth. The enemy is fierce and is often out against God’s people. Thus, it is important we access divine help if we must live above this fierceness; and prayer is an avenue to access it. The Bible says: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

It Grants You Access To Mercy: This is one of God’s profound ways of helping His people. Certain things may be responsible for where you are today, but the mercy of God always answers in prayer, thereby breaking every force holding you captive. The truth is: You might not even be fighting against the devil; it might be your past deeds that have brought your family to where it is right now. God can be entreated when you call for mercy (2 Chronicles 20:21-22).

It Makes You Encounter Angelic Intervention: Angels are our security agents and they excel in strength (Psalm 103:20). They ward off all evils and plagues from us. When you feel troubled or your family is under any form of stress, you can pray for angelic intervention. Their job is to fight against anything troubling you, so you can access your victory easily.

However, you cannot receive these helps in prayer or achieve tremendous results on the prayer altar if you are not born again. Only the prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16). To be born again you need to accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour. So, if you have not done this, or may have wandered away at a point in time, you should say this prayer in faith: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.

Congratulations! If you prayed this simple prayer of faith with me, you are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).

With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace in Jesus’ Name! Call or write to share your testimonies with me through contact@faithoyedepo.org, 07026385437 OR 08141320204.

From everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. — Psalm 90:2

Have you ever thought about the collapse of time? From the days of the Lord Jesus Christ until about 1830, man could not travel any faster than a horse. In 1960, a man went into space and traveled at a speed of 18,000 miles an hour. Look how far we have come in so short a time! Sometimes when I read the papers, I think we are trying to run the Space Age with horse-and-buggy moral and spiritual equipment. Technology, you see, has no morals; and with no moral restraints man will destroy himself ecologically, militarily, or in some other way.

Only God can give a person moral restraints and spiritual strength. While our world is shaking and crumbling, we need to realize that one thing will never change, and that is God. He is the same today as He was ten million years ago, and He will be the same ten million years from today. We are like grasshoppers; we appear and hop around a bit on the earth, and then we are gone.

Prayer for the day:Almighty God, to know You are unchanging gives me peace in a frighteningly changing world.

Written by Billy Graham, Founder of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association(BGEA). BGEA exists to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every effective means and to equip the church and others to do the same.

Luke 1:80,"And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel."

Text: Luke 1:57-80

John the Baptist had the most important job assignment ever given to any mortal in the history of the world. He was to prepare the way for the coming of the long awaited Messiah (v. 76).

How did the Lord prepare John for such an important task? What university could teach him all he needed to know? Who offered a course in becoming the greatest prophet who ever lived? (Mt. 11:11) Of course, no one could prepare John for such an important position, so the Lord taught him personally. John was in the deserts until he was thirty years old. He was tutored directly by the Lord through the Holy Spirit.

The personal touch of the Lord became very obvious. Six months after John began his ministry, the whole nation of Israel was experiencing revival and anticipating the coming of the Christ. When Jesus came, the Jews wondered how he could know things he was never taught (Jn. 7:15).

This special knowledge which comes directly from the Lord through the Holy Spirit is now available to every believer.

It's a part of the new covenant (Heb. 8:11). The Holy Spirit has been sent to be our teacher, but we have to show up at class and expect to receive (Jn. 14:26). He'll even show us things to come (Jn. 16:13).

TREM’s Daily 10 January 2018 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo - Have A Vision For Your Life

Topic: Have A Vision For Your Life [TREM’s Daily Wednesday January 10th, 2018]

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. (Proverbs 29:18 KJV)

Yesterday we learnt that one thing that enabled the Apostle Paul to accomplish his purpose was that he had a clear vision of what God wanted him to do and he was intentional about it. For too long we have complained about how things are not working, but the time has come for us to become the agents of change. You have a role to play and it begins with you becoming intentional.

Being intentional starts with having a vision for your life. You must have a goal. You must know where you are going to in life and how you intend to get there. A person that does not define his objectives obviously will end nowhere but that will not be your portion in Jesus name. When you look at Acts chapter 26, you will see that Apostle Paul knew who called him and exactly what he was called to do. He kept at it and he defended it. He was a man of purpose and he fulfilled it.

My question is how do you want your business to be like this year? When I say business, I mean everything about your life. Child of God, at what altitude do you want to fly? What relationships do you want to develop and leverage on? Beloved, nothing just happens. All your goals for the year must be clearly defined before you set out. This is the pathway of all achievers. Sit down, think, plan and strategize. Understand that you are a different person. You are a New Species that has never existed before. You are called out to show forth the glory and Excellency of our God. You are called to take charge and lead the way for others to follow. There is no way you can fail!

I declare over your life that your light will no longer grow dim. You will arise and shine. The earth will yield its goodness for you. You will not carry a cup in your hands to beg, neither will you weep nor lament in the name of Jesus. You will surely fulfil purpose.

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily January 10, 2018 Devotional: Turn Your Kids Around

Topic: Turn Your Kids Around [Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Wednesday January 10th, 2018]

And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. - Isaiah 54:13

Too many Christian parents today are wasting time worrying about their children.

Years ago, Gloria and I saw the devil trying to get a foothold in our children's lives, so one weekend we got our concordance and four or five translations of the Bible. We began to search out scriptures and write out agreement prayers concerning them.

We tore into the devil with the Word of God and started saying, "Thank God, our children are not going to hell. Thank God, they are taught of the Lord and great is their peace!" Instead of walking the floor and worrying about the problem, we walked the floor and praised God for the solution.

Things didn't change instantly. We still had to go through some tough times, but the Word began to turn things around. Today, our children are serving God with all their hearts.

If your kids are headed for trouble, don't waste time worrying. Start believing! Get the Word working in their lives. Bind the devil with it and tell him he can't have them. Then follow the instructions in Matthew 9:38: "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, the he will send forth laborers" into the field who can reach your children. God knows who they'll listen to, and He knows how to bring those people into your children's lives at just the right time.

Grab hold of God's Word, refuse to let go where your children are concerned—and sooner or later, that Word will grab hold of them.

Our Daily Bread 10 January 2018 Devotional – Growing a Servant’s Heart

Topic: Growing a Servant’s Heart [Our Daily Bread 10th Wednesday January, 2018]

Read: Luke 22:24–30, Bible in a Year: Genesis 25–26; Matthew 8:1–17

I am among you as one who serves. Luke 22:27

It was a long day at work. But when I got home, it was time to start my “other” job: being a good dad. Greetings from my wife and kids soon became, “Dad, what’s for dinner?” “Dad, can you get me some water?” “Dad, can we play soccer?”

I just wanted to sit down. And even though part of me really wanted to be a good dad, I didn’t feel like serving my family’s needs. That’s when I saw it: a thank-you card my wife had received from someone at church. It pictured a bowl of water, a towel, and dirty sandals. Across the bottom were these words from Luke 22:27: “I am among you as one who serves.”

That statement of Jesus’s mission, to serve those He came to seek and save (Luke 19:10), was exactly what I needed. If Jesus was willing to do the dirtiest of jobs for His followers—like scrubbing His followers’ no doubt filthy feet (John 13:1–17)—I could get my son a cup of water without grumbling about it. In that moment, I was reminded that my family’s requests to serve them weren’t merely an obligation, but an opportunity to reflect Jesus’s servant heart and His love to them. When requests are made of us, they are chances to become more like the One who served His followers by laying down His life for us.

Prayer: Lord, sometimes it’s hard to serve others’ needs. Help us to become more like You, willing to express Your love in the many opportunities we have to serve those around us each day.

God’s love for us empowers us to serve others.

Insight:

Not only did Jesus model a servant’s heart, serving was an ongoing theme in His teaching—and one that His disciples consistently forgot. In one of Jesus’s last public discourses He said, “The greatest among you will be your servant” (Matthew 23:11). Then in John 13:1–17 He modeled that attitude by washing the disciples’ feet—embracing a task usually reserved for the lowest servant in the household. However, just hours later, the disciples argued about which of them deserved the highest position! (Luke 22:24). Tragically, this dispute took place as they were walking to Gethsemane, where the events leading up to Jesus’s time of suffering would begin.

How does reflecting on the heart of our Master and His call for us to be servants encourage you when you are called to serve others? Bill Crowder

Topic: What Looks Like A Lie, Yet It’s True! [Our Daily Manna ODM Wednesday, January 10th, 2018]

Basic Scripture: 2 Kings 2: 1-15

I got this testimony from our large distributor in Ghana. Let the Holy Ghost use it to carry out a DIVINE EARTHQUAKE in every department of your life, family and ministry.

“Bishop, my family and I are still in state of stock and awe! What looks like a lie, but is TRUE… my elder sister (our first born) and also a major distributor of ODM in Ashanti Region, Kumasi, gave birth to a baby boy after 14 years of marriage! We give God all the glory and we thank God for His vision. God bless you Bishop (form Ronald, Ghana).” When I got this testimony from him, I rolled in the floor for the Lord because we are all dust and He alone deserves the glory.

I do the same for every testimony that I come across because I know I am just a little pencil in His hands. We must decrease and He must increase! I prophesy: In this 21 day prayer and fasting programme, the testimony that looks like a lie, yet it is true shall hit you and your family in Jesus name! That DELAY you are experiencing shall lead to worldwide dancing this year in Jesus name! Any garment that the enemy has put on you shall catch fire! As Elisha tore his garment and put on a new garment by River Jordan, so shall a new garment be put on you and your family this year!

As you tear a garment you don’t want at the World Anointing DECORATION Night of January 26th, shame, disgrace, ridicule, marital delay, financial embarrassment, mysterious stagnation, business battles, demotions, disappointment at the edge of breakthroughs, spirit husband, spirit wife, spirit children, spirit money, poverty, bad odor, bad luck, rise and fall, evil dreams, etc, shall be torn into pieces by the anointing of the Holy Ghost that night and beyond in Jesus name!

What your enemies wish for you shall come upon them 7 times this year! Sow your CHANGE-OF GARMENT seed and come to the World Anointing Night of January 26th with a dress you can afford to tear that night apart from the one you are wearing the programme. Your God is able! This is your year! Men and women shall dance with you this year! Amen!

TODAY IS DAY 5 OF THIS 21-DAY FASTING PROGRAMME. TURN TO “War Against Haman-13” for Today’s Special Prayers! Congratulations!!!

Prayer Points: Take your best worship song to God.

1. Thank God for today’s word and pray as you are led!

2. Lord, I key into every prophetic word of today. Let my decoration shock the world.

3. Pray for the testifier and his family.

4. Pray about today seriously and any other issue(s) affecting your peace.

5. Pray about 2018 again. Also, pray today’s fasting prayer points as directed in “War Against Haman-13”.
